The highest lottery prize in this country for the past 50 years was won in April 2005. This inspired Voja Žanetic, a screenplay writer, to finish the screenplay for the film in June, and immediately afterwards, producers MTS and INTERMEDIA NETWORK started working on this engaging comedy.

The film was shot during the summer, on interesting locations in the country and the Greek island of Corfu . It makes it distinctive, since it is the first domestic film shot abroad after the period of 10 years. "CHASING LUCK(Y)" is a film that turns a viewer into something more than an ordinary observer, giving the Serbian cinematography a new hope. In addition, the film was shot using HD technique, which is the future of cinema movies worldwide.

The film was supported by the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Serbia , Knjaz Milos (Guarana), Telekom Srbija and Dunav Insurance Company.

The film film premiere was on 6 th October 2005 in Belgrade , in "Sava Centre" big hall.
